Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a diverse ethnic background. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian as well as from Sri Lanka. Her father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. There are two older brothers as well as two younger brothers. The 80s were the time when her parents fled to Bahrain due to civil unrest on Sri Lanka. As a result, she was born and raised in the country. Schooling was finished within Bahrain and she was awarded the Scholarship to at the University of Sydney. There she graduated with a Media and Communications degree. Passionate about different cultures and languages has led her to the Berlitz Language School, a school in which she improved her French and Arabic in addition to learning Spanish. She was also crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and participated in Miss Universe 2006. In 2006, she was awarded the Miss Sri Lanka title. Following that, she stepped on television as a host of the show about Sri Lankan companies named Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the mother of the badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager she played in national championships of badminton at both the regional and international levels. She later quit the game to make a profession as designer. Padukone is of Mangalorean origin Her mother language is Konkani. Padukone is a village located situated in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi in Karnataka State of India, is where her ancestry comes from. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton and her mother is also a travel agent.
